I love pumpkin, almost as much as I love hot chocolate. I am pretty sure that I could eat pumpkin pie everyday and never get tired of it. Recently I have been experimenting with pumpkin in other recipes, and I found this great recipe on Pinterest. It is fabulous! I won't say that it will replace pumpkin pie in my diet but it is a delicious alternative. Since it is the weekend this may be a nice treat to whip up and relax with a good book, which is exactly my plan.
Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate
3 cups whole milk
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 ounces white chocolate (roughly chopped)
1. Heat the milk, pumpkin puree, and spices in a sauce pan until it just starts to simmer and remove form heat.
2. Add the chocolate and stir until it has melted.
