christened on April 26, 1564 - April 23, 1616.
Although no one knows for sure his actual birth date, tradition at that time held that one was christened on the nearest Sunday or Holy day after your birth, that would have been on St. Mark's Day, the 25th or some say three days after your birth I will leave this debate for more qualified people.
During his lifetime Shakespeare wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets and numerous other poems.
Most of his work was produced between 1589 and 1613. Including comedies and tragedies and histories to name a few, Othello, Hamlet, King Lear, Macbeth, A Midsummers Night Dream and my personal favorite The Merchant of Venice.
World wide celebrations, exhibitions including the Yale University Beinecke Library, the World Shakespeare Festival and the Library of Congress are being held from now until November 2012.

OH!!! I always loved sharing my birthday with good old Will! I LOVE EVERYTHING HE HAS EVER DONE for the stage and even if it is questionable whether he really wrote many of his works, I am still proud to call him my birthday buddy!
