Friday Favorites from You May Be Wandering, Hooked on Houses, Simply Seleta and More

Good morning! I hope that your week was fabulous! I had a great week but I am definitely ready for the weekend. I have summer fever and I want to be lazy, eat summer barbecue food, lay and the beach and read in the sun. After all,  it is June and summer is very short so I want to cram in as much fun as I can.

Summer and reading are synomous in my book, no pun intended. This week, Sandy from You Maybe Wandering put together a fabulous list of summer reading material. I cannot wait to start.

If this list is not enough to get your going then check out The Ultimate Summer Reading List by Real Simple Magazine as well.

I love the color combination blue and white, in fact I wrote a post about it on Monday, just in case you missed it. This week The Terrier and the Lobster posted two fabulous majolica inspired items from Dolche and Gabanna. Can you believe this bag?

Everyone loves a holiday but how about one staying in these magical places, 15 Landmark Trust Holiday Houses featured in House and Garden UK Magazine. If you have time check out the rest of the site, there are great recipes, houses, travel tips and more.

Speaking of houses, check out these houses. Thanks to Simply Seleta I discovered the Donald Lococo architects, I think I could move into them all!

And this Blue and White Lake Geneva, Wisconsin house as well.  Both of these houses are classically designed and fit beautifully in their settings on the shores of Lake Geneva and Lake Michigan.
By the way, today is National Doughnut Day. Doughnuts are one of my favorite things to eat and if I could eat one every morning I would. I have made many doughnuts in my life but I have never made and baked doughnuts. This weekend I am going to be trying this easy recipe for Baked Lemon Blueberry Doughnuts from the Recipe Rebel.

What do you think? Did you find anything new here or do you have anything to share? Books, recipes, adventures are always welcome.

Have a wonderful, safe weekend!
