I Am Blessed

Good morning! How was your weekend? Mine was fabulous! I was in Milwaukee celebrating three birthdays: my husband, my mother and my niece. As I have said in the past, my mother has 9 brothers and sisters and they all came, along with their partners to celebrate these three wonderful and magnificent people.

It was magical to gather with family and friends sharing food prepared with the recipes that my grandmother passed along, telling  stories of times past and just enjoying one another's company.

I am blessed beyond measure and each and every time I go home it is impressed upon me just a little bit more. The sands of time are flowing and as much as I would like to deny it we are all getting older. In fact my mom's oldest sibling is 75, just two years younger than my grandmother when she passed away.

Many hours were spent this week reminiscing and laughing about our families adventures. I am grateful to come from a large and loving family. Don't get me wrong we have our bad moments but at the end of the day I know that I always have someone I can call to laugh, cry, complain to or ask for help.

I am blessed...

I hope that you have a wonderful week.
