How sweet of your sister to send you acorns from IL.
:)

I love Indian corn too but hung it just once on my front door many years ago only to be rudely awakened in the middle of the night to two screaming racoons fighting over the ears they had torn down. What a horrid noise they make when fighting!!!

It was pretty funny actually, but I decided not to put it out again.
Sorry Rocky!

Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth!

xxox
AlisonAlison @ The Polohousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04158070644111719007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9010931580827952387.post-26982608851333526622012-10-01T21:19:29.362-04:002012-10-01T21:19:29.362-04:00Little by little the fall decor is sneaking into m...Little by little the fall decor is sneaking into my house, and I do use many natural elements--pumpkins and gourds, acorns, pine cones and grasses, and of course corn! School pretty much keeps me busy during the week. I have acorns galore; (and of course now when I see them I think of your wonderful blog) I've never thought of gluing the tops back on. I am off to forage under my oaks. Have a wonderful weekend. They are making me very happy. And I am also doing a little fall cooking, using butternut squash and other fall produce. Have a great weekend and I hope you get to relax a bit on Sunday!Sunday Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13148090705938196599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9010931580827952387.post-7438054019633463332012-09-28T10:07:16.486-04:002012-09-28T10:07:16.486-04:00Love everythig but my two favorites are that pumpk...Love everythig but my two favorites are that pumpkin with the beautiful toile and the acorns.
