Good morning! One day closer to the weekend, I could not be more happy about that. I am so looking forward to reading my new book and trying dinner from a Vietnamese restaurant that has just opened near us, as well as watching a few good movies. Other than that doing nothing, or at least doing as little as possible.

I found some great recipes, blogs and a little "eye candy" this week. I hope that you find something that is new to you or a reminder of how much you enjoyed it the first time!

This week a beautiful trip to Cape Cod and a delicious recipe for coffee cake was featured on Fresh.
The perfect celebration to say farewell to Summer and welcome to Fall on Around the Yellow Table, Anna created a farm to table meal for friends at the beautiful farmhouse she rented in Traverse City, Michigan.

Living large in this super small apartment in France which was featured by Coco Cozy. What do you think, could you live in 344 square feet? Hmm...I could if it was in Paris and I spent at least one weekend a month there. After all I would be seeing the sights, eating eclairs and sipping chocolate so this petite place would be for sleeping and reading.

This week this list of  100 Great Children's Books in the last 100 Years was released from the New York Public Library. I hope that you check out the list and see how many you remember, Charlotte's Web, Curious George, Harry Potter, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blue, Green Eggs and Ham, The Little Prince and more.

Last but not least, a little eye candy from Scott at The Adventures of Tartanscott.

I hope that you share your finds from around the web, as you know we all love a new book, recipe, movie or blog.

One last thing, if you are looking for a delicious and decadent recipe to try this weekend, visit Once Upon a Chocolate Life to try out Inside Out German Chocolate Cake. It is so good.

Enjoy your weekend.

  1. I am not even going to the site of the chocolate cake..that will be the end of me! I LOVED Charlottes Web, one of my all time faves. Hope you have a great weekend!

  2. Happy Friday my dear! Those flowers, OH how beautiful they are! Much love, Anita

  3. Charlottes Web.. such a classic. I enjoyed it as a child and AGAIN when my kids were young. Your Dahlias are gorgeous!! Love those:) .. and that cake needs to be in my belly! Have a nice weekend!

  4. There's nothing in life that can't be fixed with some chocolate cake.

Unless you're deathly allergic to chocolate, in which case, you poor soul, I feel so sorry for you...

  5. Hello, my dear! I do wish you a wonderful weekend...your plans sound perfect...
Thank you for these lovely flowers, and much gorgeousness out there...we don't nee much square footage as long as we are in Paris, right? ;)
And your cake has inspired me! I need something special for my dad, and this is it...thank you!
Sending love to you, dear friend...

  6. "Charlotte 's Web", in my opinion is one of the greatest books for teaching about character. It is an amazing lesson from beginning to end. I will be checking out the remainder of the list. I hope you have a delightful and restful weekend. Bonnie

  7. Charlotte's Web...the first book that made me cry.
When I found out I was expecting our first child, the very first "must have" that went into the nursery was a copy of Charlotte's Web.
Once again you gathered a beauty and inspiration!
