Snow Views

Good morning! How was your weekend? Mine was spent at home doing a little work, cleaning and surviving the "bomb cyclone" that hit the east coast. In my area the storm started late Wednesday and I woke up Thursday to this view from my kitchen window. Eleven inches of snow,  25-30 mile and hour winds, and 50 mile and hour gusts.

The winds and the snow continued Thursday as did the dropping temperatures. Because of the limited amount of plows, which I mentioned Wednesday, we were basically homebound until yesterday.

The roads were horrible so aside from running to the store we hightailed it back home. In fact, because of the icy roads most of the schools still are closed today.

I did venture out Thursday to see how deep the snow was so I thought I would share a few of the pictures that I took while out.

I hope that you have a great Monday, stay safe in  cold.

  1. Absolutely enchanting photos of your snow views, Elizabeth! I feel inspired and will try to get outside tomorrow since the temps will be safer. You have made the lovely of winter sparkle with beauty. xox

  2. Wow! That was some storm! But your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Please stay safe. We have had below freezing temps, but no snow. Your photos are beautiful! Hugs!

  4. Beautiful photos of the snow. I know it will get messy and difficult to get around it though. Stay warm!

  5. How pretty! If only it wasn't so darn cold!

Thank you for coming to visit Pine Cones and Acorns. Your comments are greatly appreciated. Although I try to come to visit every blog that comments sometimes I just do not get the chance, but I do try to comment here.
