Friday Favorites from Savor the Best, Creme de la Crumb, Broma Bakery, Purely Katie and More

Good morning! I am sorry to have been missing in action the last few days, to be honest I am having a hard time getting myself gear; the holiday on Tuesday threw off my timetable and I have felt like it was the weekend ever since.

Interesting Food

Image Savor the Best

It's been rainy and grey here the last few days so my mind has been on comforting soups and easy meals. Doesn't this Instant Pot White Chicken Chili from Savor the Best look delicious?

Image Crem de la Crumb

I made Three Cheese Stuffed Chicken from Creme de la Crumb last night and it was scrumptious.   Here are  20 other easy and delicious chicken recipes to make!

I LOVE hot chocolate, so much so that I drink it everyday, 365 days a year, I even make my own chocolate "mix" by blending different chocolates. If you can would like to make your own, click here.

If you want to try something a little different this Tahini Hot Chocolate from Broma Bakery looks rich, creamy and comforting.

Interesting Reading

Interesting Movies/TV

Soundtrack

I think At Eternities Gate looks like an interesting movie, it is based on the  letters of Vincent Van Gogh and stars Willem Dafoe. I gave this 3 volume set to my husband years ago and it is a beautiful insight into the life of the artist in his own words.

This book, Insight by Tasha Eurich was a recommendation from a friend. I just ordered it, have you read it?

Most people feel like they know themselves pretty well. But what if you could know yourself just a little bit better—and with this small improvement, get a big payoff…not just in your career, but in your life?

Research shows that self-awareness—knowing who we are and how others see us—is the foundation for high performance, smart choices, and lasting relationships. There’s just one problem: most people don’t see themselves quite as clearly as they could.

Fortunately, reveals organizational psychologist Tasha Eurich, self-awareness is a surprisingly developable skill. Integrating hundreds of studies with her own research and work in the Fortune 500 world, she shows us what it really takes to better understand ourselves on the inside—and how to get others to tell us the honest truth about how we come across.

Through stories of people who have made dramatic gains in self-awareness, she offers surprising secrets, techniques and strategies to help you do the same—and how to use this insight to be more fulfilled, confident, and successful in life and in work.

I just started The Last Words and I cannot put it down.

Paris in Love, finished this last week and it is one of my favorite books about Paris.

I listened to Roger Waters Igor Stravinsky this week after hearing a review on NPR and I loved it! You can listen to it free on Amazon streaming.

Interesting Finds

I have this cape and in fact gave it as a gift for Christmas and I love it. I wore it last week and 3 ladies stopped me to tell me how much they liked it. This Tartan Cape is  On Sale this week.

  1. The Christmas holidays have a way of throwing one's inner calendar completely off.
