Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Candy

Good morning! I hope that you had a great weekend, and that your week has started off well. It was a leisurely weekend here and now we are just waiting for the big game on Sunday. My husband is a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan,  he has been waiting 50 years for them to get the the Super Bowl, so I hope they play well.

As for me, I am watching for the commercials and the food. One of my favorite things at parties are the treats and today I have the easiest treat you can make, it is so easy and so good. I was licking the spoon after I made this, what could be better than melted chocolate and peanut butter?

Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Marshmallow Candy

1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups mini marshmallows
2 cups rice crispy cereal

Garnish
1/4 cup  tablespoons melted peanut butter
1/4 cup melted dark chocolate

Melt the chocolate chips and the peanut butter together, you can do this on the stove top or in the microwave. In the microwave heat at 30 second intervals on full power and on the stove top put the saucepan on low. Do not boil, or overheat the mixture, you do not want it to burn. Let the mixture cool for a little then add the rice cereal and the marshmallows, stir well. Pour the mixture into a foil lined pan, make sure to grease the pan, and spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least an hour.  Then melt the peanut butter and drizzle over the top, melt the chocolate and do the same in whatever pattern you like. Return to refrigerator until ready to cut and serve.

Enjoy!

  2. Not a football fan at all - but can always enjoy a bite of a good chocolate fudge!
We're on soups and salads all this week - no desserts or nibbles - getting lazy in this winter weather and have cut back on walking (yes, know that's bad) as there's plenty needing attention indoors right now!
    Have a lovely week -

  3. Goodness, that would be good to serve on Valentine's Day too, just because it looks decadent and is chocolate!

  4. This looks so good! I can taste it now!

We were disappointed that our TN Titans aren't going but hope is always eternal to a true fan so maybe next year. Good luck to your husband's team!
